It all seems somehow like a waking dream. I feel normal. In fact, GREAT. My blood tests and bone marrow biopsy say Acute Leukemia. Medical science says one thing but the real question is, what does God say?
I have asked Him for healing and believe that I have received it. Many wonderful friends and relatives are praying for me as well, and we have all come into agreement on this request. I believe that God heals and that He uses times like this for His special purposes.
I am not focused on outcomes, those are in His hand. I am focused on keeping my eye on the prize and keeping my thoughts on what is good, and positive, and praiseworthy. Take a look at Phil 4:4-9 sometime. I like the way the KJV says it.
I am convinced that there is no safer place for a child of God to be than the place to which He brings you. I believe that modern medicine is a gift of God to the world, and that in this process God Himself enters in, and partners with His gifted ones to accomplish healing. All the more so for those who have, by faith, placed their trust in Him. I will be at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on January 6, to start chemotherapy.
May I say to you, be of good courage. Stand firm. Be strong. God is with us and is delivering his grace and favor to each of us, every moment and in all things. May His name be praised in this season of my life and may we all live in His strength, to His honor, and for His glory.
